This office employs a large corps of clerks and has jurisdiction over Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia. All pensions paid in these states are paid from this office. For the last twelve months the number of pensions on the rolls was 17,673, and the sum disbursed was $2,815,612.72.
