Friends, Knoxvillians, Countrymen: -- Allow
us to introduce to you THE VOICE
of the Class of 1907. Every Spring since 1899, the Tenth Grade has
issued this publication, and each class has endeavored to excel those
preceding in all particulars.
Although THE VOICE
belongs especially to the graduating class, the other High School grades
have contributed even more this year than usual, so that this year's number
show what High School pupils can produce in a literary, musical and artistic
way. With the exception of the contents of the new Exchange
Department, everything has been planned and executed by High School
students.
We have tried to make this VOICE
the most melodious and far-reaching, and deserving to be hears, of all its
predecessors. Our motto: "Facta non Verba," keeps us
silent; but the 1907 VOICE will
speak for us if you only "lend us your ears".
