WEAVER, HATTIE ---age 84, of Rt. 4, McCubbins Road, passed away 7:50 a.m. Sunday at Knoxville Convalescent Home. Retired from Robert Shaw Controls after 25 years service. Member of Lyons Creek Baptist Church and Lyons Creek Senior Citizens. Survivors: sister, Mary Weaver Jones, Knoxville; brothers Arbie (Should be "Arlie") Weaver, Hickory, N.C., Marshall Weaver, Knoxville; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Weaver, Ceaell (Should be "Cedell) Moss of North Carolina; nieces, Louise Blecher of North Carolina, Geraldine Weaver of South Carolina; nephews, James (Tommy) Weaver, Knoxville, Wade Weaver, Virginia.
Service 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rose Chapel, Rev. Lawrence Ford officiating. Interment New Grey Cemetery. Pallbearers: Bill Slover, Howard Foster, W.A. Wyrick, L.N. Chestny, E.R. McGlothin, Clarence Hamilton. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Monday at Rose.

WEST, JAMES EARL - age 75, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, November 15, 1998, at his home. He was a member of Tennessee Avenue Baptist Church; veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict, the 278th Infantry Medical Company; owned and operated the Knoxville Dental Arts Laboratory for 40 years. One of the first organizers of the Knoxville National Guard. Preceded in death by his first wife, Madolyn Hall West; son, James Nathan West II; mother, Lois P. West; father, James Nathan West; brother, Ray; sisters, Elsie and Hazel West. Survivors: wife, Kathryn Rhodes West of Knoxville; son, Charles Lynn West of Orlando, Fla.; grandchildren, Elliott and Sabrina West of Florida and Nathan West of Florida; stepchildren, Larry Garrison of Knoxville, Linda Vick of Raleigh, N.C.; sisters, Ruth Hutchison of New Market, Tenn., Mildred Crutchfield of Knoxville, Dixie Popkave of West Nyack, N.Y.; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Ray Davidson of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Reba West of Charlotte, N.C.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara and Charles Pate of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Nell Warwick and Charlotte Hice; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet and leave Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday and proceed to Bells Campground Cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside service with Rev. Hubert Troutman officiating. Arrangements by Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
