Iola Conner Mapes age 92 of Knoxville died Saturday at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Widow of Edward L. Mapes Member of First Christian Church. Survivors daughters Mrs Jane LaBrie, Mrs Rose Cox of Knoxville, Mrs Grace M Smith Louisville; son Richard E. Mapes Knoxville; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, sisters Mrs Gladys Tumblin, Mrs Jessie Pierce, Mrs Karherine Cross all of Knoxville, Mrs Mildred Carr of Kingsport.
Funeral service 7:30 PM Monday at Mann's Heritage Chapel. Graveside services and interment 11 AM Tuesday at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Dr R Thomas Hunter, Rev Coy Jo Bays officiating.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Knoxville. Friends may call following the the service Monday at Mann's Heritage Chapel

McGlothin, Alvie Lee  ---72 of Harlan, Ky.; formerly of Coalfield, died Tuesday at Lexington, Ky. Survivors: daughter, Mrs. Ralph Hobbs, Greeneville; three sons, Herbert McGlothin, Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Gene McGlothin, Cincinnati, Ohio, Gains McGlothin, Lexington, Ky. 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother Sam McGlothin, Knoxville. Funeral services, 2 p.m. Thursday, Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Coalfield. Interment in Davis Cemetery, Oliver Springs, Route 1. Body will lie in state at the church one hour before services. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Home, Oliver Springs.

Montgomery--The funeral of William Austin Montgomery, a rural route mail carrier, Concord, Tenn., who died suddenly Saturday night, was conducted from Virt(?) Cumberland  Presbyterian Church, yesterday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Rev. C. P. Lasley and Rev. R. White officiated. Interment was the church cemetery.

MORGAN, ROY GAYLARD -- age 58, of Seymour, died Friday, January 19, at Baptist Hospital.  He was of the Lutheran faith.  Member of 24th Division of Disabled Veterans.  Survivors: wife, Darlene Morgan; mother, Dicie Morgan, Pigeon Forge; son, Roy G. Morgan II; brother, Bill Morgan, Walland; sister, Dezsray Fehmie, Seymour; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service was held 10 a.m. Monday at Rawlings Chapel, Rev. Peter Kolb officiated.  Burial was held in Holly Hills Cemetery.  Rawlings Funeral Home, Sevierville, was in charge.

MOULDEN, MRS. LIZZIE -- died Monday night, January 23rd., 1989 at Brakebill Nursing Home.  Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later.  The body is at Clark Mortuary.

MYNATT  - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary M. Mynatt, 63(?), who died at the Knoxville General hospital, Saturday night at 9:30 o'clock, were conducted from the Salem Baptist church yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Rev. G. W. Damarcus officiated. Six members of the American Legion post No. 3 served as pallbearers. Interment took place in Salem cemetery. Mrs. Mynatt's son, Burlie G. Mynatt, lost his life during the world war. He was one of the first Americans to unfurl the Stars and Stripes in France.

OLIPHANT, Dr. W.G. ( Ollie) ---49, Terra Haute, Ind. passed away at Terre Haute, Monday morning. He was a graduate of West Virginia University Medical College in 1951, and a former resident anesthesiologist at the University Hospital in Knoxville, and was a practicing anesthesiologist at Terre Haute, Ind.  Member of the American, Southern, Indiana and Vigo County Medical Associations. A World War II veteran. Survivors: wife Mrs. Bonnie Cox Oliphant; step-daughters Mrs Hugh Morgan, Terre Haute, Mrs. Mary Jane Bailey, Knoxville; brothers, Dr. W.W. Oliphant, formerly of Knoxville, and six brothers and one sister, all of California. the body will arrive in Knoxville late Wednesday afternoon. The family will receive friends, 7-9 p.m. Thursday at McCarty Mortuary.

WAYNE -- age 81 of Sevierville Road, died Sunday at Blount Memorial Hospital.  Native of Cades Cove.  Member of First United Methodist Church of Maryville.  Retired Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals Judge.  Preceded in death by brothers, H. Clay and J. Winston Oliver; sister, Lucille (Mrs. Charles S.) Dunn.  Survivors: wife, Thelma Goodson Oliver; sons, W. Wayne Oliver Jr., Americus, Ga., and Michael Stephan Oliver, Salemburg, N.C.; daughter, Julia Jane (Mrs. Hugh C.) Webb, Henniker, N.H.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Ret. Col. Hugh R. Oliver, Pine Hurst, N.C.; sister, Johnnie Geneva (Mrs. A.H.) Webber, Knoxville.  Funeral service 10 a.m. Wednesday, First United Methodist Church of Maryville, Rev. Nelson Woody and Rev. E.E. Wildy officiating.  The body will lie in state one hour prior to service.  Interment Grandview Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association.  The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Smith Mortuary, Maryville.
