The Brotherhood was formed on December 20, 1932. This was during the heart of the drepression [sic]. Since that time it has had growing times and falling off times. When the Brotherhood is active they do such things as having father-son programs, fishing - followed by fish frys - and regular business meetings. An outgrowth of the Brotherhood is the Royal Ambassador (R. A.) Program. McCalla sponsored a Boy Scout Troop until the mid-50's. The R. A. program did not grow too much until the Boy Scouts were abolished. Like the Brotherhood, the R. A.'s have had their ups and downs. In 1971, the R. A. program is looking up. They are experiencing a new period of growth. |
