Weekly Offerings

The pews of this Church are all free.  The Church is supported entirely by voluntary offerings.  All members and attendants, including the children, are expected to share in the maintenance of the Church.  For this purpose, each one will be supplied by the Deacons with envelopes, properly printed and stamped, to be used in making these weekly offerings.  It is very desirable that all persons contributing, advise the Deacons at the beginning of the year, of the amount they will endeavor to contribute weekly.

The weekly offering in the house of God combines system with the best elements of spiritual culture.  It keeps the treasury constantly supplied.  It makes giving easy by making it habitual and besides it makes of it an act of worship.  Every member of the congregation, therefore, is earnestly urged to participate in this act of worship and parents are affectionately exhorted to train their children in the practice of systematic giving as at once a duty and a privilege.

Benevolent Offerings

These are made in accordance with the apportionments recommended by the Presbytery, and on the percentage basis show in the general Assembly's Budgets.

Care has been used to avoid inaccuracies and omissions in making the roster of this Church.  Should errors be found therein you will confer a favor upon those most interested by notifying:

John S. Eakin, Minister
118 Kenyon Ave.
Hemlock 2126.

Church Membership

The sole condition of admission to membership in the Presbyterian Church is a "credible evidence of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ," the faith proving itself in penitence for sin and obedience to the commandments.

The Session will meet, when necessary, in connection with any regular service of the Church, to confer with candidates for admission, to receive assurances of their faith in Christ and their purpose to server Him, and to welcome them to membership.

The usual time for the public reception of members is the Communion session, but they may be received on any Sabbath.
