SHIELDSTOWN CEMETERY
Compiled and contributed by David Donahue
Shieldstown Cemetery is a small cemetery on the north side of Linden Avenue west of Kellar Street in Knoxville, Tennessee. In 1990, the cemetery was being kept cut by an adjacent property owner who complained that the city refuses to take care of the cemetery and that kids at the playground across the street had carried off markers to sit on. This cemetery probably was full; if so, under 25 percent of the graves remained marked in 1990. This cemetery was recorded March 21, 1990.
