BETHEL CEMETERY
Compiled and contributed by David Donahue
Bethel Cemetery is located on the east side of Maryville Pike about one-half mile south of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church. The last dated burial was in 1936. The marked graves are concentrated on the western side of the cemetery, but sunken spots can be seen almost back to the fence on the eastern side. The entire area probably contains graves. Bethel Cemetery may contain about 100 graves. Although the cemetery is not well maintained, when visited in 1990 someone appeared to be cutting the weeds and brush at least once a year, because the cemetery had not become overgrown. This cemetery was recorded February 10, 1990.
