This is info from the Bible of Myrtle Loama
(Douglass) Brown, wife of
Emanuel Brown
and sister of William Oliver
Douglass. In the front of the bible it states that it was given to Myrtle
on Dec. 25, 1916 by her brother, Wm. O. Douglass (signed W. Ollie Douglass.).
Written in the back and front are the following:
- Clarence Brown and Dorothy Mayes married Sat. April 23 rd
1927
- Will Brown died Oct. 12, 1928
- Jack Brown March 3, 1929
- George Brown April 20, 1929
Found tucked within the pages of this Bible were the following:
- Obit: 2 for W.O. (William Oliver) Douglass
- Obit: Emanuel Brown
(Myrtle's husband)
- Obit: John J. Brown (brother of E.M. Brown)
- Obit: George W. Brown (brother of E.M. and John J. Brown)
- Written on notebook paper: "William C. Douglas
Died Mar 2 nd 1906"
- Postcard: "BAPTIST CHURCH LENOIR CITY TENN" (second N is
backwards)
