1st Church

Burlington Baptist Church Became a Reality November 4, 1913

The first church was built on property purchased by vote of the church on July 14, 1913.  The original site is now the 3900 block of McCalla Avenue.

On March 10, 1926, the name of the church was changed to McCalla Avenue Baptist Church.

The church quickly outgrew the building and additional lots were purchased at the corner of 3800 McCalla Avenue.  Ground was broken for a new building June, 1926.
