1st Mission

The first mission of McCalla Avenue was dedicated on November 10, 1946.  It was located at the corner of Oakland Street and Grand View Avenue.

It was first called the Mission of the McCalla Avenue Baptist Church.  The name was changed to the Skyline Drive Baptist Church when it was constituted as a church on June 15, 1949.

The first pastor of the mission was R. V. Brock, Sr., a layman, ordained to the Gospel Ministry by McCalla Avenue.
