LONES CEMETERY
(Arrowhead Drive)

Compiled and contributed by David Donahue

This cemetery is on Arrowhead Drive on the western side of Sequoyah Hills. The cemetery is fenced and locked. In 1989 when this record was made, the cemetery was very overgrown with briars which made reaching visible stones difficult and finding fallen stones almost impossible. The cemetery is considerably larger than would be indicated by the number of stones recorded; a majority of graves may be unmarked. This cemetery was recorded March 25, 1988. By 1997 the cemetery had been cleaned up and was receiving regular maintenance. It is kept locked and there is no access other than climbing the fence.

On the outside of the cemetery is a marker which reads:

Est. 1827
