River Levels Rise in January, 1840 PDF Print E-mail

The rise in the river at this place, a few days since, was a high as five feet, but it is now not more than three and a half. We understand that the Steamboat Harkaway, has been delayed about 15 miles below Knoxville, and will probably return down the river from that point.
